Job Description
As a CDL B Driver, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to deliver food to partner agencies and pick up donations from donors. You must adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations, and ensure the physical and mechanical condition of the vehicles for a safe and efficient fleet.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain the vehicle and ensure it is fueled.Transport food safely to and from the food bank, adhering to food safety regulations.Load, unload, and clean the truck regularly.Communicate effectively with co-workers, donors, and clients.Assist with special events and product distributions.Support operations as directed by the Director of Operations.Perform various warehouse operations and other assigned tasks.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of driving experience.Possession of a current CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement.Satisfactory safe driving record.Knowledge of DOT standards for commercial driving.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Ability to work with diverse groups independently or in teams.Proficiency in reading maps, following GPS, and navigating in the Washington Metropolitan Area.Excellent customer service skills.Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain professionalism and promote community spirit.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role involves driving in traffic and operating in a general food distribution center with moving forklifts and pallet jacks. The work environment may include exposure to varying temperature conditions. The position is based in locations in DC and Lorton, VA, with regular business hours and extended hours for special events. You will be required to lift and move objects of varying weights, and specific vision abilities are necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $54000.00/yr.
