**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CBA - **Heavy Equipment Operator IV** to join our team! In this role you will get to **operat** **e** **heavy and light equipment to repair,** **maintai** **n** **, and reconfigure roadways, stockpiles, and berms including loading and unloading of rock and soil at the Faro Mine Complex.** Position will also be responsible for providing snow clearing services during the winter months.
_Local Candidates preferred but open to candidates who are available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis._
_These positions work shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with 12 hours per shift._
_This role includes paid travel to and from the site as well as housing accommodations, but employees are responsible for providing their own food/meals._
_This position includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 925. The hourly wage for this position is $41.62_ _._
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Safelyoperateheavy equipment, includingforklift (any), Skid Steer, Bobcat, Loader, Rock Truck, Backhoe, Excavator, DozerandGrader.
+ Perform haulage of vehicles safely and efficiently.
+ Utilize your skills in rigging, lifting, and hoisting to safely maneuver and position heavy loads.
+ Perform haulage of vehicles safely and efficiently.
+ Drive andoperateequipment ranging from 3 to 10 tons, including vacuum and water trucks.
+ Work closely with the Water Treatment group in assisting with the placement of pumps, pipelines and other associated water conveyance equipment around site while promoting andcomplying withFMC safety procedures and policies.
+ Ensure safeworkoperations and full compliancetooperating procedures.
+ Receive direction for the day-to-day operations work schedule.
+ Do pre-& post inspections of the equipment and write/keep equipment log.
+ Responsible for and/orassistsin fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level.
+ Assistsin maintenance work of the equipment.
+ Maintain tidiness in the equipment.
+ Prepare andsubmitthe necessary required daily reports as directed.
+ Perform other functionsasdirected from time to time by the Maintenance Superintendent.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ At least 2 years’ operational experience in operating CAT and other surface mining, construction heavy equipment.
+ Class 5 license required
+ Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement will beadvantageous
+ Must have rigging, lifting, and hoisting certificate
+ Proficiencyin operatingforklift (any), Skid Steer, Bobcat, Loader,Rock Truck, Backhoe, Excavator,DozerandGrader.
+ Must be able to effectively follow and give directions.
+ Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role including but not limitedto:sitorstandforlong periodsoftime, abletolift upto 20kg, comfortable working in various elemental conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
+ Must be able to work a variety of shifts.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ A valid Mine Rescue Certificate (surface) compatible with Yukon OHS Mine Rescue Standard (OHS, 2016) and approved by Yukon WCB, or willingness and ability to undergo training to obtain such.
+ Crane/ HIAB license
