Category Business Manager

The Category Business Manager plays a critical role in driving category growth through advanced analytics, strategic insight, and strong business acumen. This role combines deep category management expertise with analytical rigor to uncover opportunities, optimize performance, and support seasonal business initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, data-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings an entrepreneurial mindset to deliver meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive category analyses that inform business objectives and drive financial growth.Leverage advanced analytics and reporting to identify trends, growth opportunities, and whitespace within the category.Create, interpret, and communicate analytical outputs—including Excel models, dashboards, and performance reports—to support data-driven decision-making.Translate complex data into clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations that influence senior leadership and summarize business performance and strategy.Execute weekly and seasonal reporting for enterprise leadership, ensuring insights are timely, relevant, and actionable.Apply customer behavior insights and market trends to shape category strategies and influence key decisions.Manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to effectively collaborate on projects and deliverables.Communicate complex insights clearly and persuasively, tailoring messaging for diverse audiences.Demonstrate constant curiosity, passion for products, and an innovation-driven, consumer-centric mindset.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience analyzing complex business problems, synthesizing insights, and delivering data-backed recommendations.Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to use data to form, validate, and support strategic decisions.Proven ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term strategic initiatives.Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Tableau.

Work Environment

Hybrid work model- 3 days in office

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
