Amazon.com operates in a global eCommerce environment and operates a diverse set of businesses in several countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, web services for developers. The Retail Business Services (RBS) group in Istanbul is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the Amazon Turkey online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for directly managing a team of 10-20 Associates (entry level roles) supporting multiple categories that populates/procures content for the Amazon Catalog as well as identifying and eliminating defects related with Amazon Catalog. You will work with internal teams to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon Turkey and Global internal stakeholders to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category teams to ensure the overall health of the processes is good.
Duties may include:
- Taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others
- Outlining procedures and instructions on work received
- Making time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of content creation / population done by the team/others
- Ensuring records are maintained accurately, ensuring utilization of team is high
- Mentoring and train new team members; Responsible for meeting operational and business goals through leading a team and capacity planning through forecasting
- Working with various internal teams to help improving processes and contribute to achieving operational business goals
- Managing stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes and escalations
- Ensuring high quality standards for interviewing and hiring employees
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience managing people and interacting with customers / stakeholders
- Excellent skills in spoken and written Turkish and English (any second European language is an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels
- Experience in managing critical operational processes, with deadline responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviors
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical capability
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Excel skills to be able to refine data and prepare business reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Business Process Outsourcing
- Experience with Catalog Management, Team Management or 3rd party vendors.
