ABOUT THE ROLE  

As a key member of the Zurich Boutique team, the Cashier plays a pivotal role in the client journey by executing the final step of the CHANEL selling ceremony. You ensure that each transaction is seamless, accurate, and reflective of CHANEL’s standards of excellence.  By offering a warm, personalized service, you help create a memorable experience for every client, while upholding the House’s image of elegance and simplicity.

Your attention to detail and commitment to procedures safeguard the financial health of the Boutique and enhance the client experience at the most crucial moment—the moment a CHANEL creation becomes part of a client’s world.  As a true ambassador of the brand, you combine discretion and warmth, ensuring every interaction is handled with care and professionalism.    

Key Responsibilities:   

Serve as the final touchpoint in the client journey, before the client’s farewell, ensuring the selling ceremony ends on a memorable and seamless note  

Provide an impeccable, personalized experience for each client throughout the payment process, embodying CHANEL’s values of discretion and service  

Execute all payment transactions and tax-refund procedures (when relevant), ensuring accuracy and compliance with CHANEL’s internal procedures and legal regulations  

Clearly explain procedures and offer solutions to clients when needed  

Arrange and oversee the delivery of purchases to clients, providing a seamless and bespoke concierge service in collaboration with trusted local delivery partners  

Maintain and update client data in accordance with data protection and internal standards  

Open and close daily the cash register, mastering all aspects of cash management and associated payment methods  

Foster collaboration by sharing information and supporting the Boutique team in delivering an elevated client experience  

When needed, contribute to the registration of digital passports in coordination with the sales teams  

Lead regular briefings on procedures to ensure team engagement and adherence to standards  

Support the smooth daily operations of the Boutique, acting as a co-responsible team member  

Participate actively in continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to processes and client experience

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:  

Proven experience as a cashier, ideally in luxury retail  

Passion for Fashion and Beauty  

Deep understanding of payment procedures, sales operations, and client records management  

Outstanding sense of service, discretion, and professionalism  

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  

Motivation, reliability, and a natural affinity for multicultural settings  

Full proficiency in German and English; knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus
