Cash Application Specialist
Job Title: Cash Application Specialist Job Description As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately applying lockbox deposits, live checks, credit cards, wire transfers, ACH payments, and payments to all invoices listed on customers’ remittances. You will ensure timely chargeback deductions, including pulling and attaching backup for deductions. Additionally, you will process credit memos and apply heavy cash application accurately within established timelines, take charge of loading deposits, and manipulate data for account management. Responsibilities + Accurately apply lockbox deposits, live checks, credit cards, wire transfers, ACH payments, and payments to invoices. + Properly chargeback deductions in a timely manner and attach backup for deductions. + Process credit memos and apply heavy cash application accurately within established timelines. + Load deposits and manipulate data for account management. + Manually post or upload payments, requiring Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. + Perform daily and month-end cash reconciliations. + Collaborate with internal team members to identify, address, and resolve financial items. + Assist with special projects and compile reports. Essential Skills + 1+ year(s) of Cash Application/Accounts Receivable experience. + Proficiency in cash application, accounts receivable, invoicing, and accounting. + Experience with lockbox, credit card processing, and large ERP systems. + Experience in a high-volume environment. + Experience in mid to large revenue companies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prior cash application experience. + Strong knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and Windows-based products. + Ability to effectively organize and prioritize activities under strict deadlines. + Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail. + Ability to research and make necessary corrections. + Capability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. + Typing speed of 40 WPM, invoice processing, and data entry skills. Employees can start their day between 7 am and 9 am, with a consistent schedule required and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
