**Summary of Position (Job Purpose)** _- Major purpose and functions of the position._
1. Support the growth of Family Dollar partnerships with carriers and internal corporate departments to reduce overall costs while improving service levels
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities** _-_
_The primary tasks the associate will perform during his/her work schedule_
1. Book quarterly business review (QBR) meetings and calls; participate in meetings and distribute related materials and meeting minutes in a timely and effective manner
2. Administratively support annual carrier conference with travel, presentations, meeting attendance, documentation and catering coordination
3. Facilitate routine carrier touch base calls to review performance as related to all functional transportation teams
4. Participate in RFP cycles across modes, supporting management with communication, consolidation of responses, reporting of results and other tasks as required
5. Monitor, research, summarize and report challenges with carrier performance via carrier scorecard
6. Utilize systems and optimize procedures as guided by management
7. Research, create and edit presentations and reports
8. Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and professionalism within the organization, across vendors and carriers
9. Work closely with Transportation Management and Analysts to develop strong carrier and corporate partnerships by liaising with those partners on a routine cycle
10. Answer and direct phone calls and emails
11. Maintain appropriate contact listings for the team
12. Complete other various assignments, as required
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications** _- Summary of knowledge, experience and education required._
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
2. One to three years of transportation work experience
3. Previous corporate office experience
4. Dynamic and agile work style
5. Polite and professional, exhibiting a desire to support the needs of others
6. Ability to be successful in a changing environment and be successful with the ambiguity of change
7. Ability to work well with people at different organizational levels internally and externally
8. Ability to gain trust with associates and carrier representatives by exuding compassion and respect
9. Must possess qualities of integrity, discretion and strong ethics
10. Strong organizational and problem solving skills
11. Detail oriented
12. Strong written and verbal communication stills
13. Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
14. Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
