**Job Title: Carpenter Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman with expertise in installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work. The role involves designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation, along with adding fixtures like door handles, locks, hinges, and closures. You will select lumber based on size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood that aligns with the customer's budget and style. Additionally, you will calculate the number of fasteners needed for each job and liaise with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals. Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by architects and construction professionals is essential. **Responsibilities** + Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work. + Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation. + Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures. + Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to match the customer's budget and style. + Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job. + Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals. + Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by architects and construction professionals. + Run 1-2 projects efficiently and understand the full scope of each project without rework. + Work on customer-facing projects like pergolas, pool houses, pools, and finishing basements. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape construction. + Ability to work well with others. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Strong time management skills. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. + Proficiency in operating required equipment and tools safely and responsibly. + Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required for construction and landscaping. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Valid Driver’s License. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned business that offers good benefits including 401K and Health Benefits.
