This position is scheduled PRN (flexible/as needed) and can be scheduled in 4-hour, 8-hour or 12-hour shifts on a shift that works best in your schedule. PRN is a minimum of 16 hours a month with 4 of those hours being on a weekend, plus requires 2 holidays per year. Holiday pay is at a rate of double time employee's base pay rate. As a Caregiver, the successful candidate is not required to be certified in the State of Iowa. You will interact with residents, medication managers, nursing staff and family members in this position. As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with daily living activities with the goal of enhancing each resident's quality of life. Administer medication reminders and/or medication after completing nurse delegation. Provide showering/bathing and personal hygiene assistance. Get the residents dressed and ready in the morning, evening, and/or as needed. Assists residents with ambulation. Observe and report changes in the residents condition to the Nurse Supervisor. Completes work, and care documentation with accuracy and within a specified time frame. Maintains current knowledge of all applicable resident care policies and procedures.
