As a PRN Care Tech - Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to our clients' employees at United Airlines located in our Health Center located in Tamuning, GU.

Schedule

PRN as Needed During Clinic Hours:Clinic Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 7:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

What You’ll Do

Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.Performs routine CLIA waived laboratory tests, operates EKG and other diagnostic equipment, and collects specimens.Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and proceduresAssists with supply inventoryMay instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employeesUnderstands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipmentMay require other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.  CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.  Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program training program (preferred).Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
