Job Summary:\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rClinical Skills\r* Completion of cardiovascular cath w/PCI and EP competencies\r* May function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles\r* Able to use critical thinking skills\r* Work in conjunction with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists\r* Preps and educates the patient for procedure\r* Demonstrates and understands sterile technique\r* Exhibits a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to cardiovascular patient care\rJob Responsibilities\r* Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs\r* Able to work scheduled and cath lab On-Call hours\r* Knows existing lines of communication and authority\r* Handles communications properly\r* Introduces self to patient and/or guardian utilizing proper scripting ie. AIDET\r* Transports patients as needed\r* Provides privacy and comfort for patient/customers\r* Assists with maintenance of departmental records, Joint Commission standards, State and Federal Regulations and performance Improvement\r* Enters data in to cath lab log and verifies accuracy and completeness\r* Completes necessary paperwork\r* Answers departmental phone using proper scripting\r* Maintains stock levels and outdates\r* Maintain current License and BLS/ACLS certifications\r* Serve as a proctor for other cath_EP lab staff as requested\r* Works as a team with other cath_EP lab staff to obtain the best possible outcome\r* Performs any other duties as needed when asks by leadership\r* Prepares necessary supplies and equipment for procedure\r* Enters appropriate charges for supplies and procedure\rQuality and Patient Safety\r* Verifies patient ID using 2 patient identifiers, i.e..
