**Job Overview** **We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a casual cardiology technician to join our team at our** **University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank)** **!** The Cardiology Technician is responsible for providing diagnostic testing inpatients and outpatients. This includes 12-Lead ECGs, Holter, Event and BP monitor application. The Cardiology Technician will perform various duties assigned by the supervisor including, but not limited to, retrieval of supplies for/from different units, and retrieval/restocking of linen. **Schedule:** **This** **casual** **role** **will** **primarily** **cover** **evening** **and** **night** **shifts,** **with** **hours** **from** **2:30** **pm–11:00** **pm** **and** **10:45** **pm–7:15a** **m** **As a Cardiology Technician, you will be responsible for:** + Performing ECG’s, and application of stress and Holter, Event, and BP monitor. + Preparing patients for examinations and explaining procedures to patients. + Performing all file maintenance activities related to the tests including filing, copying, faxing, and file pulling. + Maintaining all testing equipment. + Troubleshooting of equipment issues and conducting preventative maintenance checks. + Initiating service calls on equipment not working. + In the absence of stress testing and supervise application, the Cardiology Technician will perform various duties assigned by the nursing supervisor (ANS). + Other duties, as assigned **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or G.E.D. + 0-2 years EKG or patient care experience + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification **Preferred** + Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree + Completion of accredited cardiac technician program or equivalent clinical experience + 2-4 years of EKG or patient care experience **Benefit Overview** Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
