Sentara is hiring a Cardiac Anesthesia Technologist at Norfolk General’s Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Shift:

-Normal shift is from 7a-330p. 

-1st call and 2nd call hours are from 330p-7a.

-3rd call and 4th call hours are from 330p-7p. 

-There is a rotating 6a-230p shift and 11-7 shift. 

*Call has a 30 min response time

Overview

A Cardiovascular Surgical Support Technologist plays a critical role in supporting anesthesiologists and surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures. This position involves preparing, operating, and maintaining anesthesia equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring a sterile and safe operating environment. The technician works collaboratively in high-pressure settings to contribute to successful patient outcomes.

Education

Bachelors’ Level Degree in a Scienced related field REQUIREDBachelors Degree in Biology Related Science PREFERED

Certification/Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification REQUIRED

Experience

Cardiac/CVOR Experience PREFERREDMedical related work experience PREFERREDAnesthesia/OR experience PREFERRED
