About this Role
We are seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Associate/ Governance and Oversight Analyst to join the Governance & Oversight team supporting Global Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations. This cross-functional role helps assess operational risk, strengthen control environments, and support global governance routines. It offers broad exposure to operational processes, regulatory considerations, and enterprise risk frameworks while collaborating with teams across regions and business lines.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Oversight
Support governance routines by preparing materials, tracking deliverables, and maintaining key documentation.
Maintain dashboards, SharePoint sites, and reporting inventories to ensure accuracy and alignment with enterprise standards.
Control Evaluation & Risk Support
Assist in control assessments by collecting data, reviewing evidence, and documenting results.
Identify control gaps or emerging risks through analysis of operational processes.
Support partners with requests related to audits, regulatory reviews, and supervisory activities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with partners across CIB Operations, Compliance, Business Control, and Operational Risk to drive consistency in controls and standards.
Support coordination with regulators and audit partners.
Assist with global governance submissions and documentation across regions.
Reporting & Communication
Contribute to reports summarizing control performance, risk themes, and trends
Required Qualifications
6+ months of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent through work experience, training, military service, or education.
Desired Qualifications
Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to identify risks and evaluate control effectiveness.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; SharePoint or Power BI experience is a plus.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience drafting clear communications to support governance updates and inquiries.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Job Expectations:
Position offers a hybrid work schedule in which you are required to work in office 3 days per week at a minimum in one of the locations listed below
