About Business Unit:
The Acquisition Capabilities Team sits within the broader Card Acquisition organization and is responsible for enabling and optimizing American Express’ digital card acquisition strategies.
The team manages and enhances digital card acquisition platforms, including a Business Intelligence platform that supports the organization by ensuring data quality, robust data controls, and secure information flows across teams. Working closely with Marketing, Technology, Analytics, and external partners, the team plays a critical role in driving sustainable growth through data-driven and innovative digital solutions.
Key activities will include:
Support the execution of tests on system changes and new releases related to the Digital Banking Acquisition channel. Working with Technology teams to verify that new releases and platform updates work as expected before they go live.
Perform data analysis activities using Excel, including data extraction, validation and simple reporting.
Support the day-to-day management of the Acquisition Business Intelligence platform used by multiple teams across the organization. Helping with data quality checks and basic controls to ensure data is accurate, complete and reliable.
Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations to support governance activities, channel processes and operating documentation.
The intern will:
Gain hands-on experience in Business Intelligence platforms and data governance processes within a global financial services company
Develop practical skills in data analysis using Excel, working with real acquisition and platform data
Be exposed to testing activities and release processes, supporting system changes for the Digital Banking Acquisition channel
Build a strong understanding of how digital acquisition channels are managed and governed
Contribute to structured and meaningful projects in a high-growth, international and collaborative environment
Desirable Qualifications/Skills & Experience/Language Requirements:
Current undergraduate or graduate student
Degree (or ongoing studies) in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data-related fields
Good knowledge of Excel (basic data analysis, formulas, pivot tables; ability to work with structured data)
Good knowledge of PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare clear and well-structured presentations
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Fluent English, both written and spoken
