CAM Automation Engineer
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of cutting tools and services to the metal cutting industry, is seeking a CAM Automation Engineer to join their team. As a CAM Automation Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD/CAM software (manufacturing modules), familiarity with systems such as NX, Vericut, TDM, PLM systems, and prior use of Industry 4.0 technologies. **Job Title:** CAM Automation Engineer **Location:** Mebane, NC **Pay:** $90,000 - $120,000 **Key Responsibilities** + Responsible for preparing and supporting manufacturing automation for new and existing products, process improvement initiatives, and daily production operations. + Programming and developing methods for batch manufacturing in 5-axis and lathe CNC environments, as well as programming inspection equipment. + This role plays a key part in advancing Industry 4.0 initiatives, including smart manufacturing and digital integration. + Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce machining time. + Simulate manufacturing programs to minimize machine downtime and proactively reduce scrap **Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree + Proficiency in Azure, Git, or SQL/database management. + Experience with CAD/CAM software (manufacturing modules) is highly desirable. + Familiarity with systems such as Unigraphics NX, Vericut, TDM, PLM systems + Minimum 2 years of experience developing and deploying automation scripts using languages/tools such as C, Visual Studio, Java, or Eclipse If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
