Calibration Technician
**Job Title: Calibration Technician** **Job Description** The Gauge/Calibration Technician position is responsible for managing the crib that handles all of the gauges, ensuring accurate setup, recall, and verification at specific intervals. This role includes collaboration with various departments to assess gauging needs, generate purchase requisitions, and maintain gauge control software. **Responsibilities** + Setup and recall all gauges and fixtures requiring verification or calibration at specific intervals. + Collaborate with various departments to assess current in-house and external supplier gauging needs for manufacturing or inspection. + Generate purchase requisitions for new or replacement gauges. + Issue gauges and timely update gauge status and assigned locations in gauge control software. + Establish and track calibration intervals, monitoring gauges due for calibration, overdue gauges, and lost/missing gauges. + Work with engineering to identify gauging needs for new products or processes. + Generate and distribute monthly recall reports to manufacturing areas. + Work with manufacturing to improve gauge recall performance. + Set and verify gauges to documented procedures and/or manufacturer’s recommendations to assure conformance to applicable specifications. + Train associates in the use of gauges, as required. + Actively participate in training operators using heat-treating and NDT processes. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment and assess potential improvements to assure safe working conditions. + Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor. **Essential Skills** + High school graduate or equivalent + 3 years of gauge control experience + Drawing interpretation skills - blueprint reading + Gauge setting or gauge setup experience + Understanding of ISO1000012-1 / AS9100 industry or customer calibration requirements + Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GAGEpack) + Solid industrial mathematics knowledge **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with calipers, final inspection, aerospace, metrology, gauge calibration, GD&T, quality technician, quality control, quality inspection, metrology technician. **Work Environment** The work environment is a very clean and neat aerospace manufacturing floor within a mid-large size manufacturing company. Pay Rate: Entry level- $23.70, mid level $28.72 and senior level 32.69 **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $49296.00 - $59737.00/yr. 5% bonus potential every March depending on company performance.
