Job Description
Join a dynamic mechanical contracting company specializing in HVAC and refrigeration installation and service. As a Calibration Technician, you will be part of a dedicated division handling various types of calibrations, including physical, denominational, and electronic calibration. This role involves ensuring quality both onsite and in the shop, contributing to the success of our quality management system.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality assurance both onsite and within the shop.Manage uncertainty budgets and address uncertainties.Conduct internal audits, ensuring outcomes and necessary corrections.Perform external audits of subcontractors.Understand and manage SOPs, quality manuals, matrices, and approved vendor lists.Handle out-of-tolerance reports and reverse traceability.Supervise the quality of work performed by technicians and metrologists.Perform industry calculations in the field and lab, assisting to ensure timely completion.Conduct in-place calibrations and lift heavy equipment as required.Collaborate with customers, technicians, and management to deliver excellent service results.Travel to different job sites within medical device manufacturing and cleanroom environments for calibration testing.Essential SkillsExperience in electronic and physical calibration.Proficiency in calibration, instrumentation, and electronics.Competence in using test equipment and performing electrical calibrations.Capability in mechanical calibrations.Skill in troubleshooting large electrical builds and HVAC systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsDatabase experience, preferably with Gauge Insight or similar systems like Blue Mountain.Understanding of the calibration process within medical device manufacturing environments.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in the shop as well as travel around the metro area to various job sites, engaging face-to-face with multiple vendors and clients. This role requires comfort in an office environment for documentation and monitoring technicians in the field. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm, with occasional OT depending on the week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
