THE ROLE

The Café Associate is responsible for providing quick and efficient service to customers in a high-end grab-and-go experience. The role reports to the F&B Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following all safety and sanitation standards, neatness, and organization of work areasFollowing all company drink and food recipes and procedures to provide high quality and consistent service to guestsEnsuring that all guests are educated on products and service offeringsAnswering guest questions regarding food and coffee blends, preparation, and product freshnessGreeting all guests with fast, friendly, personalized serviceProviding excellent customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the café’s menu and productsAccurately processing sales orders into the POS system, informing guests of amount owed, and counting back change to customers in a courteous and friendly mannerMaintaining accurate cash count and balancing bank at end of shiftPreparing food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and proceduresEnsuring that the correct closing procedures are followed: all areas of the café are to be left clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day’s serviceMaintain regular and consistent attendance and punctualityAssisting with daily, weekly and monthly inventory—as neededAssisting with station duties and performing other assigned duties/tasks assigned by leadership—as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma – or equivalentAt least 1 years’ experience, preferably in the Hospitality IndustryBasic knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

COMPENSATION
