CAE Engineer

Our client is seeking a CAE Engineer to be responsible for the development or improvement of product designs and engineering capabilities, support CAD development of new concepts; maintain engineering BOM and manage customer and supplier change requests. As a CAE Engineer, you must possess knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for products including, but not limited to, Hood Latches, Endgate Latches, Power/Manual Actuators, Strikers, Endgate Handles, Window Regulators and Door Modules. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CAE Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Rate: Pay will be up to $50/hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
+ Design and development of components and systems from concept to production for OEM customers.
+ Analysis of performance, failure modes, and testing requirements and maintenance of engineering documents such as DFMEA, specifications, design calculations, and analysis models.
+ Support of original design generation when needed in support of existing business and new opportunity business.
Requirements
+ Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Process experience such as stamping, injection molding, cold heading, riveting, machining, fine blanking, insert molding.
+ Specific product experience with body mechanisms including latches, window regulators, power systems, hinges, gas lifters, door checks, etc. or similar components (such as seat mechanisms).
+ Advanced proficiency of industry-standard software (e.g., CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks).
