**About the role:**
As a CAD Manager you will develop and implement the CAD management system and associated processes at a client site for the Facilities department for a dedicated high profile Industrial Manufacturing client.
This is an office based role located in Windsor, CT. The selected candidate will have the ability to work from the office on a fulltime basis.
Interact with client representatives on-site and ensure the execution of required facility drawings for proper upkeep, documentation and storage based on established standards. Works in collaboration with the project managers, CAD drafters, engineers, or facility management team, clients, owners, and others.
**What you’ll do:**
Develop and implement a CAD management program and standards; to include how drawings are created, organized and accessed by various CAD team members and client personnel.
Create naming nomenclature and revision numbering system to establish consistency for all facilities drawings housed within the CAD system.
Establish how the system storage is structured and organized, for all types of drawings, including structural, civil, infrastructure, space occupancy, etc.
Perform regular file maintenance for AutoCAD file optimization and instill a regular file backup strategy to ensure data protection.
Assist and coordinate delivery of required drawings/reports for reviews by clients, property/facility management team, and project team (as applicable) at conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases of projects.
May provide training on AutoCAD file management systems and associated processes to project managers, facilities management, CAD drafters, Engineers, clients, owners and other collaborators.
Provide oversight, guidance and mentorship for the CAD staff to ensure all CBRE and client requirements and expectations are met at all times.
Abide by all corporate and client policies and procedures are complete all company and client required training is completed on time.
Identify problem areas and work to implement solutions to effectively resolve them. Contribute to team efforts as needed to achieve desired results.
Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
**What you’ll need**
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.In lieu of a degree a combination of experience and technical, vocational or other education with be considered.
+ Experience and background working within an Industrial and or manufacturing environment and MEP engineering or drafting experience is highly preferred.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Ability to determine the methods to be used to fulfill the position’s responsibilities and how to accomplish desired goals and objectives
+ Leadership skills to motivate team, make an impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
+ In depth knowledge of AutoCAD, SharePoint, MS office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
+ Ability to report to the client’s Industrial Manufacturing offices on a fulltime basis.
