When you join KB Home, you become part of a team that is passionate about making the dream of homeownership a reality for families across America. **Come be a part of our team!** Learn more . **JOB SUMMARY:** A CAD Drafter conducts the following forward planning procedures: creating all site-specific plot plans inclusive of house footprint, hardscape, structural options, topography, easements, utilities, etc. supporting the building permit submittal. Site plans define exact location of house on lot and used by excavator, foundation, and flatwork vendor to execute home build. Manage accurate lot fit analysis and database to be used by internal customers. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Development of CAD related exhibits:** + Create site plans per jurisdictional requirements for building permit submittals. + Revise site plans as necessary per jurisdictional comment letters. + Performs initial and final lot fit analysis inclusive of structural options, topography, and impervious limits. + Provide support to field on any fit conflict and respond in a timely manner to maintain production schedules. + Develop community fence diagrams for land development and homebuilding including quantity takeoffs by fence type. + Manage printing and reprographic needs through both internal and external resources. **Miscellaneous:** + Provide CAD details as needed + General forward planning items as needed **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** **Education/Certifications/Licenses** + High School Diploma required + Trade school AA or higher level desired **Experience** + Minimum of 2-4 years of CAD Drafting experience in the Real Estate or Homebuilding industry. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Must have strong drafting skills in AutoCAD + Must be familiar with reading civil plans and translating the necessary information to the individual site plan. + Must have a general understanding of setbacks and home placement. + Ability to think critically about what is in front of them. + Need to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Must have strong mathematical aptitude. + Ability to provide leadership and direction to direct reports that falls within company expectations and direction. + Display a cooperative attitude at all times. + Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines, high level of organization required. + Must possess the skills and abilities to offer support to management as needed or requested. + Interact with all levels of internal and external customers in a professional and supportive manner. **Work Requirements** + Computer skills in CAD Software, Blue Beam, Word, Excel, and Outlook + Ability to maintain ethical behavior at all times + Need to be able to work a full workday with additional time after hours if needed. + The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. + Frequently walks up and down stairs + Frequently move about work location. + Ability to transport up to 50 lbs and move as needed + Valid driver's license required to drive/travel as needed within designated region between jobsites + Often works in outdoor weather conditions + Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand + Position is located on-site (320 120th Ave N.E.
