We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our growing team. In this role, you will use your intermediate to advanced CAD expertise to prepare detailed technical drawings that support telecommunication design projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Designers, transform field notes into accurate work prints, and ensure all drawings meet customer specifications and industry standards.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and thrives in both independent and team‑based work environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, revise, and prepare technical drawings using CAD software with intermediate to advanced proficiency.Learn and utilize customer‑specific software platforms for drafting and data input.Support Designers by converting rough field sketches into complete, accurate work prints.Collaborate with Designers to resolve discrepancies between field notes, original plans, and final CAD drawings.Read, interpret, and evaluate technical designs, maps, and drawings.Review completed work prints to ensure compliance with customer standards, telecom regulations, and project requirements.Apply foundational knowledge of telecommunications standards to improve accuracy and quality during drafting.Use advanced CAD tools for data importing, exporting, and compiling information for project deliverables.Assist in training and mentoring junior or less experienced team members.QualificationsBachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field and 1–5 years of relevant experienceProficient in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent problem‑solving abilities with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communicator and collaborative team player.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work on meaningful broadband and utility infrastructure projects.Supportive team environment with room for growth.Hands‑on exposure to advanced CAD tools and OSP technologies.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
