Resideo is currently seeking a CAD Documentation Engineer / CAD Librarian to design and maintain security intrusion system and smart home wireless product libraries and documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating, managing, and maintaining electronic component libraries (schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models) using CAD tools such as Altium or Mentor. **JOB DUTIES:** + Library Creation & Maintenance: Create, validate, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D STEP models using CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Xpedition, Mentor). + Data Accuracy & Validation: Verify components against manufacturer datasheets, mechanical drawings, and IPC standards (Class 2/3) to ensure accuracy and quality. + Library Management & Control: Manage centralized component libraries, applying strict naming conventions, revision control, and lifecycle management (active/obsolete). + Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers to resolve design issues and develop custom library components as needed. + Process Improvement: Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python or tool-specific scripting) to improve efficiency and standardize workflows. + Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for library components, including parametric data.
