Job Title: Cable Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cable Assembler to join our team. This position plays a critical role in the production of electrical connectors used to power electric pumps for drilling oil and gas wells. This is an entry-level opportunity located in Santa Rosa, with a swing shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 3:25 PM to 11:55 PM.

Responsibilities

Work in an industrial shop setting at a personal workbench.Strip cables by unwrapping the rubber exterior, using safety gloves and a knife to cut away insulation, and attaching contacts.Measure and cut cables to specified lengths using hand tools and measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and crimpers.Perform tasks according to engineering blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Conduct visual inspections of work performed to ensure no defects.Assist with packaging tasks and manage cable reels delivered by forklift.Follow work instructions to cut cables to customer specifications.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.Ability to perform basic math, including decimal conversions.Capability to be on feet for 8 hours a day and exert effort to move heavy carts.Manual dexterity for wire stripping and assembly tasks.Adherence to safety rules and professional conduct in the workplace.Excellent attendance and willingness to work 50+ hours per week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in a shop or assembly setting is advantageous.Ability to handle heavy lifting and exert physical effort.Commitment to a minimum of 6 months, with potential for conversion to full-time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
