Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in the production of electrical connectors used for powering electric pumps in the oil and gas industry. This position requires working in an industrial shop setting, focusing on cable stripping, measuring, and cutting to precise specifications. As demand increases, we expect to maintain a busy schedule well into 2023.
ResponsibilitiesWork at an individual bench in an industrial shop setting.Strip cables by removing the rubber exterior and cutting away insulation with safety gloves and a knife.Measure and cut cables according to specifications.Utilize hand tools and measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and crimpers.Perform tasks according to engineering blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Conduct visual inspections for defects.Assist with packaging and breakdown of large cable reels.Follow safety rules and maintain professional conduct.Essential SkillsAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently.Basic math skills, including decimal conversions.Manual dexterity for wire stripping and assembly tasks.Willingness to stand for 8 hours daily.Team player with a positive attitude.Excellent attendance and commitment to working 50+ hours per week.Additional Skills & QualificationsUS Citizenship is required due to government contracts.Commitment to a 6 to 12-month assignment, with potential for full-time conversion.Prior experience in a shop or assembly environment is advantageous.Ability to lift heavy objects and move carts with heavy cables.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
