Job Title: Cable Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cable Assembler to join our dynamic production team. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for producing high-quality cable harnesses using assembly drawings and various cable harnessing activities. Your role will involve programming machines to required settings, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality assurance, and actively participating in lean manufacturing activities.

ResponsibilitiesProduce cable harnesses using assembly drawings and engage in activities like cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and labeling.Program assembly machines for cable cutting, stripping, and crimping using equipment such as Komax, Schleuniger, Zoller & Fröhlich.Maintain machines and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely preventive maintenance.Perform self-inspection to achieve zero defects and support final inspection activities with the QC team.Participate in lean manufacturing activities, including 5S and Poka-yoke, to improve production processes.Manufacture cable assemblies within defined schedules to ensure timely shipments.Assist in adhering to environmental regulations and segregate and recycle scrap materials as per EMS procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in assembly techniques including cable, crimping, soldering, and wiring.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of cable assembly machines, hand tools, and soldering operations.Minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing cable assemblies using automatic/semi-automatic machines.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Experience with lean tools such as 5S and JIT systems is preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.Ability to apply feedback to performance and promote quality improvements.Why Work Here?

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Florham Park, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
