The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial and industrial cabling environments and ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Work may be performed in client offices, new construction sites as well as active operational environments. This is a hybrid role that will require the ability to travel to project sites between Westchester and Midtown Manhattan. **What you’ll do** + Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cables. + Set up and maintain cable pathways, including raceways, conduits, cable trays, and ladder racks. + Install patch panels, wall jacks, faceplates, racks, and telecommunications closets. + Label and document all cabling connections according to standards. + Use testing equipment to certify and troubleshoot cable performance. + Ensure compliance with **TIA/EIA** , **BICSI** , and local building codes. + Collaborate with IT and construction teams to plan and execute cabling projects. + Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials. + Follow all safety procedures and use PPE when required. + Data Entry –Knowledge of Excel and ability to learn proprietary programs. + Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Impact the quality of own work. + Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding. **What you’ll need** **Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.** + High school diploma and 1–3 years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage wiring. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Preferred certifications include: BICSI Installer I or II, CompTIA Network+, Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), OSHA10 / OSHA30. + Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, switches, routers, PoE). Familiar with cable testing and certification tools (e.g., Fluke, Klein, OTDR). + Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. + Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset and attention to detail. + Intermediate math skills. The minimum salary for this position is $40.86 hourly / $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $45.67 hourly / $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
