**Slitter Operator** Job Description Join our team as a C-Shift Slitter Operator, where you will work from 6am to 6:15pm on Thursday to Saturday, and every other Wednesday. As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for reading bills of materials, performing machine setups, threading film into machines, and programming machines for length, speed, and tension. Your role will also include taking products off the machine, stacking them in containers, and sending them to shipping. Responsibilities + Set up the leader table with proper tapes, leaders, and trailers. + Retrieve the proper cores from inventory. + Perform basic troubleshooting of the machine including adjusting speed, winding tension, and brake tension. + Recover from film breaks by stopping the machine, cutting broken film, and re-threading the machine. + Complete quality checks using calipers. Essential Skills + Mechanical aptitude or experience in machine operation or manufacturing. + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. + Proficiency in machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prior experience in slitting, roll-to-roll conversion, paper cutting, labeling, or film handling is a huge plus. + Experience with thinner film is beneficial. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, blue jeans or Cintas pants with no holes, and a solid-colored shirt. Shorts are also acceptable. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, Kentucky. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
