Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA) manages $96 billion across a diversified set of businesses. We strive to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients across market cycles. Our strategies include Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy, Total Portfolio Management, and Public Real Assets.
BXMA’s Total Portfolio Management business manages total portfolios on behalf of select clients (families and institutions). The portfolios are customized to client-specific objectives and aim to outperform traditional portfolios by embracing a long-term time horizon, flexible asset allocation, and robust portfolio construction. Total Portfolio Management’s open architecture approach combines external investments, private market strategies, direct investing, and the Blackstone ecosystem.
Job Description
The Associate will support Blackstone’s Total Portfolio Management team in the development, implementation, and communication of multi‑asset investment strategies. This role is grounded in core portfolio management responsibilities—supporting asset allocation, portfolio construction, performance evaluation, and market analysis—while placing a meaningful emphasis on producing high‑quality strategic content, including briefings, decks, and materials for senior-level leadership and clients. Working closely with TPM leadership, Portfolio Managers, and client‑facing teams, the Associate will help drive rigorous investment analysis and translate that work into clear, compelling outputs that enhance decision‑making and client engagement.
Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of investment strategies by helping translate portfolio positioning, market views, and analysis into clear, client‑ready materials.
Assist with asset allocation, portfolio construction, liquidity management, and performance monitoring, ensuring findings are reflected accurately in presentations, briefings, and reports.
Prepare high‑quality content—including decks, briefing memos, agendas, and meeting materials—for senior-level leadership and client engagements.
Research and synthesize market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform TPM’s investment discussions and strategic materials.
Collaborate across TPM and client‑facing teams to ensure consistent messaging, alignment, and effective communication of TPM’s capabilities and value proposition.
Ensure compliance with relevant investment policies, data standards, and regulatory requirements across all analytical work and content.
Leverage technology and data tools to enhance content quality and analytical rigor.
Qualifications
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant investment management experience, ideally with endowments, foundations, pension funds, or similar institutional investors.
Knowledge of investment concepts, portfolio management, asset allocation, and manager due diligence across diverse asset classes.
Exceptional writing, communication, and visual presentation skills; effectively translates complex investment concepts for senior-level audiences.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effectively manages multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
High level of discretion, professional integrity and professional judgment.

Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 - $175,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
