Our client, is a global public corporation specializing in technologies and services across the entire energy value chain from generation to transmission and, is seeking a Buying Professional III to join their team. **Job Title:** Buying Professional III **Location:** Wichita, KS Summary: Implements commodity strategies to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials. Supports global procurement standards and ensures compliance with defined processes, systems, and guidelines to enhance efficiency across procurement operations. Key Responsabilities: + Strategy Implementation: Execute defined commodity strategies to guarantee a sustainable and cost-effective material supply. + Process Compliance: Contribute to the implementation and usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and compliance (e.g., Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Procurement Guidelines, IT Systems). + Supplier Management: Conduct supplier management activities including qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification. + Negotiation and Savings: Prepare and conduct negotiations to achieve maximum feasible savings. Document and implement savings to support business success and make results transparent. + Internal Collaboration: Ensure close cooperation with internal customers (requisitioners) for improved customer service and early involvement in procurement planning. + Project Support: Provide supplier information and conduct project-specific supplier evaluations. + Operational Support: Assist with supplier procedures such as analysis, audits, control reports, market and price research, and preparation for supplier visits. Required Skills: + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (Master’s preferred for higher level roles). + Alternatively, vocational training with extensive experience in procurement processes. + 0–2 years of experience in a technical or procurement-related field. + Sound knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain technologies, and business processes. + Strong analytical skills and the ability to support process improvements. + Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. + Certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement (e.g., CPSM, APICS) are a plus. + Ability to interpret and apply procurement procedures, and advise on operational improvements.
