Full Time Contract Role: Planner/Buyer Contractor Location: Onsite Dorado-PR Length of Contract: 6+ months Position Description:
RCM Technologies is seeking a high-caliber Planner/Buyer Contractor to manage the critical intersection of material supply and production execution for our client. This role requires a professional who can seamlessly navigate ERP systems to ensure uninterrupted production while optimizing inventory health at our Puerto Rico facility.
Responsibilities
+ Master Schedule Management: Maintain and synchronize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align with global demand and local capacity constraints.
+ Strategic Scenario Modeling: Conduct "what-if " analyses to evaluate the impact of regulatory changes, material shortages, or demand spikes on the production plan.
+ End-to-End Procurement: Execute the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders (POs), from initial creation to goods receipt, ensuring compliance with BSC financial and quality standards.
+ Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage safety stock levels, WIP, and raw material aging to prevent both stockouts and excess inventory write-offs.
+ Supplier Performance & Expediting: Act as the primary liaison for vendors to secure delivery commitments, resolve pricing discrepancies, and expedite critical "line-down " materials.
+ Data Governance: Audit and maintain MRP system parameters, including lead times, lot sizes, and reorder points, to ensure system-driven replenishment accuracy.
+ Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and contribute to Forecast, Allocation, and Inventory (FAI) meetings, providing data-driven updates on supply risks.
+ Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present comprehensive planning dashboards and supply chain KPIs to site leadership to support operational decision-making.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of 6 years in a combined Planning and Buying role, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharma, or Aerospace).
+ ERP Mastery: Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or JDE) with a deep understanding of how planning logic drives purchasing.
+ Analytical Skillset: Exceptional ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable production schedules.
+ Advanced Excel: Mastery of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas for manual data modeling.
+ Conflict Resolution: Proven track record of resolving supplier constraints and managing high-pressure delivery timelines.
+ Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with ISO or FDA quality standards as they relate to material traceability and purchasing documentation.
+ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish (highly preferred for the PR site).
+ Onsite Commitment: Ability to work 100% onsite in Puerto Rico, demonstrating the reliability needed for a time-sensitive, 6-month production project.
Education
+ Required: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Preferred: APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) and/or Six Sigma Green Belt.
