Buyer Level III
Job Description
Join a dynamic team in a complex manufacturing environment as a Buyer Level III. You will play a crucial role in supporting production plans by procuring materials, interacting with various departments, and ensuring the procurement of materials within approved schedules and quality specifications.
Responsibilities
Monitor purchase orders and procure materials to support production plans.Interact with Planners, Production/Assembly, Engineering, Suppliers, and subcontractors.Evaluate, establish, nurture, and maintain stable working relationships with suppliers.Create and execute material plans and sourcing strategies.Conduct on-site audits and supplier business reviews.Collaborate on the new product introduction (NPI) team.Identify and mitigate potential parts shortages.Communicate quality requirements to suppliers.Determine and execute inventory strategies for specific components.Advise Planning of delays and work to resolve material shortage issues.Find long-term solutions to reduce expedites and premium freight.Essential Skills
Extensive experience in a highly regulated manufacturing industry.Experience purchasing highly integrated electromechanical assemblies such as PCBAs and wire harness assemblies.Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and 5-7 years of production purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.International sourcing experience.Proven ability to create, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including advanced Excel, Word, and presentation graphics.Ability and willingness to travel, including international travel up to 10% of the time.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Understanding of lean/throughput techniques and MRP theory and concepts.Experience using MRP to manage inventory and minimize production down-time.Additional Skills & Qualifications
ASCM and/or ISM certifications preferred.Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies preferred.Experience managing custom PCB or cable harness assemblies preferred.Work Environment
The position offers a flexible work schedule with options such as five 8-hour days or four and a half 9.5-hour days, with a half day on Friday. The facility is ITAR certified and adheres to AS9100 / ISO 9001:2008 standards. You will work in a complex manufacturing environment and collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, warehouse, and logistics.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.67/hr.
