Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Buyer for a global shipping and logistics organization to support procurement operations for multiple manufacturing facilities based in Saudi Arabia. This role sits in the Houston office and plays a key part in coordinating supplier communication, managing purchase orders, driving procurement efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support international factory operations. This position is ideal for someone early in their supply chain career who thrives in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment and is comfortable managing many moving parts across global stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Operations • Manage end to end purchase order (PO) activities, including creation, tracking, updates, and closure. • Handle basic RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and coordinate commercial pricing reviews. • Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP or structured procurement systems. Supplier & Logistics Coordination • Communicate directly with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, open orders, and pending actions. • Conduct follow ups to ensure on time delivery, resolve delays, and escalate issues when necessary. • Coordinate with logistics teams on shipment tracking, ETAs, and delivery updates. Data & Process Management • Track orders, shipments, and supplier performance in real time. • Support negotiation preparation through price comparisons and commercial analysis. • Maintain structured documentation and ensure data accuracy across all procurement touchpoints. Skills and Requirements • 1–6 years of experience in Buying, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations. • Understanding of basic RFQs and procurement workflows. • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). • Experience handling multiple suppliers and open orders simultaneously. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, international environment. • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or project based environment. • Previous exposure to supplier negotiations or pricing discussions. • Demonstrated ability to push suppliers, close open items, and maintain follow through. • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Soft Skills • Strong communication skills with both suppliers and internal teams. • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage competing priorities.
