Responsible for maintaining existing supplier relationships and for the cost-effective procurement of materials and services at the division level. Support materials used in the manufacturing process and coordinate the supply of MRO requirements. This is a highly visible position requiring interaction with Engineering, Local Operations, and Material Planners. **Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities** **•** Executes system generated Material Requirements Planning reports. **•** Edits and processes requisitions and purchase orders. **•** Communicates demand to the supply base. **•** Tracks on time deliveries. **•** Submits Requests for Quotations. **•** Reports and tracks daily material cost. **•** Performs cost analysis studies. **•** Reconciles invoice discrepancies. **•** Other duties may be assigned. **Nature and Scope** + Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data. + Nature of work requires general supervision, exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor. + May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel. **Work Environment** + Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. + Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. + Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. **Education and Experience** + Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally, 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field. **Preferred Qualifications** + 1-5 years of procurement transaction related experience in a manufacturing business. + Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook; Strong organization and tracking skills. + Understanding of MRP; Experience working with production schedules and material plans. + CPM or other APICS certification - preferred. + Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. + Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
