We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support our engineering and manufacturing departments in purchasing simple to complex structures, both metal and composites. The successful candidate will effectively negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve advantageous pricing, reliable delivery, and the greatest possible benefits for our internal operations. You will determine and ensure vendors have all required information to meet production schedules and work closely with production on all material flow issues to meet customer requirements. Additionally, you will identify available inventory, including the need for repurchasing, and effectively navigate and utilize company databases, including our existing ERP system. You will also meet with and visit supplier facilities to assess their manufacturing abilities, equipment, and capacity.

You will be part of a team of four buyers, each paired with a planner for various projects. Our workplace is collaborative and privately owned, with approximately 100 employees. Located on Long Island, we operate out of a 30,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and a 57,000 sq. ft. division specializing in large, close tolerance composite structures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
