Job Title: Buyer Job Description As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing HFS Spend within the respective Category. Your role will include price negotiations, terms and conditions discussions, managing lead times, and assisting Locations in obtaining purchase order acknowledgements. You will develop a strong understanding of supplier manufacturing capabilities, volume capacity, and technical skills. Responsibilities + Facilitate communication between suppliers and Location planners and buyers (RM, Components, OSP). + Develop a robust structured supplier onsite contact plan to ensure HFS priority and assess performance in terms of production, delivery, and quality. + Create standardized KPI performance reports (OTD, Lead Times, Capacity) and organize routine feedback sessions for suppliers regarding their performance status. + Negotiate and monitor recovery plans when necessary. + Collaborate with Locations to implement second sourcing for critical products, focusing primarily on Raw Materials. + Lead, co-lead, or support initiatives to meet objectives, such as Kaizen workshops, Consignment Programs, and Stocking Programs. Essential Skills + Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Purchase Order, and Supply Chain Management. + Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel. + Familiarity with ERP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in buying CNC machined and stamped parts. + A solid technical back ground . + Experience with coatings is beneficial. Work Environment This position is based onsite in Torrance, where you will work closely with various teams and suppliers to ensure effective procurement and supply chain management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
