Job Title: Buyer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Buyer with manufacturing experience to join our team. This role requires expertise in procuring machined parts and metal materials, along with the ability to read technical prints. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is preferred. Responsibilities + Evaluate, select, and expedite procurement contracts of moderate complexity. + Coordinate activities related to procurement from intent to purchase through delivery. + Analyze commodity requirements, including specifications, supplier preferences, and delivery schedules. + Investigate and interview potential suppliers to ensure they meet specified requirements. + Coordinate cost-effective distribution methods for commodities. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 2-5 years of directly related procurement experience. + Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 standards. + Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies. + Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Work Environment This position is 100% onsite with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility to start earlier. Manufacturing hours are typically from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The team consists of seven members, and there is potential for growth to a senior buyer position. The role is based in Lincoln. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities to contribute to various high-tech and industrial markets. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.05/hr.
