We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedBuyerto join our supply chain team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services to support production schedulesMaintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolescenceCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate procurementMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricingAnalyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunitiesCreate and manage purchase orders in ERP systemsEnsure compliance with company policies and industry regulationsSupport new product launches and engineering changes with timely procurementMaintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor communicationsEssential SkillsInventory skillsCycle countsPurchasing experienceManual counts experience1+ years of experience in manufacturingAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree is a plusExperience with purchase ordersKnowledge of supply chain principlesFamiliarity with SAPProven experience as a buyer or purchasing agentStrong knowledge of inventory management and raw materialsExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferredProficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelAbility to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple tasks effectivelyHigh level of attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reeseville, Wisconsin.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
