Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. This role involves overseeing procurement, managing inventory, fostering supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring smooth operations.

ResponsibilitiesReview, prioritize, schedule, and expedite delivery of material components to meet target dates and prevent stock shortages.Resolve issues or discrepancies with suppliers, including PO issues, pricing, quality, and shipping, promptly and professionally.Ensure accurate visibility to delivery dates on open material orders from vendors and suppliers.Design and implement inventory reduction projects to meet organizational inventory reduction and days on hand (DOH) target levels.Conduct regular inventory reviews by supporting cycle count initiatives to identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and adjust internal standards for minimums and maximums.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, improve delivery, quality, and drive continuous improvement.Conduct regular supplier reviews and identify opportunities for consolidation, alternate sourcing, or strategic partnerships.Support supply chain optimization by managing MRP system, reporting, and analysis to improve business processes.Partner with the strategic sourcing team to support cost reduction and risk mitigation initiatives.Qualifications:4+ Years of recent experience in purchasing, supply chain, and purchase order management.Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management.Experience in procurement, buyer purchasing, production, and logistics.Previous experience in a manufacturing or supply chain role is required.Experience with Sage 50 is a plus.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
