**Job Title:** Buyer **Location:** Santa Fe Springs, CA **Job Type:** Temp to Hire **Industry:** Aerospace / Manufacturing / Supply Chain **Work Schedule:** Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm **Pay Rate:** $32.50/hr. **About the Role:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Buyer** to join our procurement team. This role is critical in identifying and managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely procurement of parts, equipment, and materials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** + Identify and recommend suppliers by researching availability of parts, equipment, machinery, services, and materials. + Conduct supplier site visits to evaluate production capabilities, performance, and delivery standards. + Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements that reflect negotiated terms and conditions. + Evaluate bids and negotiate pricing, delivery, and service for standard and non-standard items. + Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues that may impact production or delivery. + Resolve shipment quality discrepancies and mediate supplier/manufacturing issues. + Negotiate and settle claims related to damages, rejections, returns, and engineering changes. + Provide information and support regarding parts, equipment, and materials. + Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing procurement data and trends. + Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations and internal policies. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline. + Experience or exposure to supply chain concepts and manufacturing through internships or training. + Strong analytical and technical skills with an understanding of business practices. + Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with electronic processing systems. + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
