Job Title: BuyerJob Description Join our dynamic team as a Buyer, where you will manage sourcing and support vehicle launches using SAP/Ariba. You will be tasked with conducting market tests, analyzing responses, and awarding sourcing for Ford Performance Parts (FPP). This role requires strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to maintaining optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities + Utilize SAP/Ariba to manage sourcing and support vehicle launches. + Perform market tests, analyze responses, and award sourcing of FPP parts. + Support business case development for new products. + Review low stock parts and issue purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels. + Follow up on past due purchase orders and track shipments. + Review open backorders weekly and expedite parts delivery. + Update lead times, minimum order quantities, and reorder points as needed. + Adhere to all established Ford Purchasing Practices and Procedures. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products. + Creatively seek and bring forward opportunities for process improvements. + Write professional communications to suppliers and coworkers. + Present opinions and ideas in meetings with varying levels of management. + Function proficiently in MS Office software, particularly Excel. Essential Skills + 3-6 years of buyer/purchasing experience in the automotive industry. + Experience with SAP/Ariba. + Strong negotiation experience with suppliers. + Proficient data analysis skills and ability to make recommendations. + Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (80% or higher on Excel Test). + Self-starter, fast learner, and problem solver. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with aftermarket or performance parts. + Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Business. + Examples of identifying cost savings or process improvements. + Excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen. Work Environment This is a hybrid position with three days onsite at our Allen Park location (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with flexibility required for occasional changes for team meetings or supplier visits. The team consists of 4-5 people, focusing on Performance Parts & Vehicle Personalization. The dress code is business casual, with work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, including a one-hour lunch break. The current work-from-home days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
