Description
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to head the procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services essential to our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, supplier relationship management, and a commitment to cost-effective purchasing strategies.
+ Work with and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
+ Issue purchase orders and manage order confirmations, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
+ Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
+ Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, production, accounting) to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement.
+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to avoid shortages or overstock.
+ Cycle counts
+ Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies.
+ Assist in developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures.
+ Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5 + years of purchasing/supply chain experience
+ Manufacturing experience - this is a very industrial setting
+ Excel - pivot tables / VLOOKUP's - no ERP system, everything is manual
+ Purchase orders - 100 +
+ Experience with a high volume of SKUs 100 +
+ Vendor management
+ Relationship building
+ Production Planning
+ Forecasting - 6 months + out
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
