ResponsibilitiesSchedule planning and procure material requirements.Purchase finished goods and services including machine parts and janitorial services.Collaborate with Planners to support production plans and drive optimal inventory levels.Process purchase orders and simplify longer orders for internal systems.Conduct cycle counts and vendor follow-up.Maintain store room accuracy and verify ERP system data.Follow up on unpaid invoices and process vendor quotes.Identify instances when supplier orders need to be expedited and collaborate with Planners to mitigate delays.Build partnerships with internal clients and local suppliers to support Sr./Planners.Procure maintenance materials and services.Perform cycle counts and goods receipts of incoming maintenance materials.Maintain and organize the maintenance storeroom.Manage and complete invoices for maintenance materials and services.Essential Skills1+ year of purchasing experience preferred.Experience with SAP or other ERP systems such as Oracle or JDE.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Attention to detail for tracking hard copy documents and managing ERP system.Strong communication skills for vendor interaction, follow-ups, and managing delayed goods.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in purchasing finished goods or services is a plus.Comfortable walking the manufacturing floor or storeroom.Ability to work in any manufacturing industry.Work Environment
The work environment is a 24/7 operation with three shifts and over 1300 employees split between the production floor and corporate office. The facility includes both manual and automated manufacturing processes, producing a significant portion of sunglasses and goggles globally. The culture is 'work hard, play hard', with a laid-back yet futuristic office setting. Working hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM with some flexibility. The role is 100% onsite, spending 30-40% of time in the stockroom or production floor. The position involves supporting the facilities team, with a focus on finished goods and services rather than raw materials. The management style is laid-back, encouraging independence and problem-solving.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.75 - $29.75/hr.
