ResponsibilitiesEnter and maintain supplier database information in the business management system.Request quotes from multiple suppliers and maintain a supplier base by selecting appropriate suppliers based on price, lead time, and quantity.Accurately create, follow-up, and expedite supplier purchase orders or requisitions.Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, including current and new suppliers.Record and maintain assigned supplier scorecards, investigate supplier responses, and make improvements as directed.Document and measure supplier performance, including product quality and on-time delivery.Adhere to ISO procedure qualifications and collaborate with the Quality Department to perform supplier audits.Address minor and major product/service issues with suppliers.Conduct cost analysis of current products and vendors associated with the scope of work.Ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems.Negotiate pricing and terms of services with current suppliers.Essential SkillsSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Proficiency in ERP systems for daily assigned tasks.Purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management skills.Experience in creating and managing purchase orders.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-6 years buying/purchasing experience is required.1-3 years experience in metal manufacturing/fabrication business is preferred.1-3 years experience in applied coatings and chemical treatments is preferred.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine), is preferred.Manufacturing blueprint reading experience is preferred.Knowledge of defense-related requirements such as ITAR, Flow Down Requirements, and Certificates of Conformance is preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
Employees are provided 9 paid holidays each calendar year
