Job Title: Sr Analyst, Purchasing

Job Description

The Sr Analyst, Purchasing is responsible for performing procurement functions including initiating competitive quotations, issuing purchase orders, and managing delivery of orders in accordance with project builds. This role involves establishing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base, reviewing requests for procurement, and issuing related RFQs and subsequent POs.

ResponsibilitiesEstablish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base.Review requests for procurement and issue related RFQs and subsequent POs.Perform complete analysis of customer requirements and supplier input to obtain the best possible procurement package relative to cost, schedule, and quantity.Negotiate with suppliers and act as intermediary between internal customers and suppliers.Negotiate Commercial Terms & Conditions.Drive process improvements with internal customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Reduce quality-related turn backs and compel improved performance from suppliers.Monitor and maintain all open purchase orders; communicate status to internal customers.Manage suppliers to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.Establish and sustain supplier relationships.Solve procurement issues as they arise.Support cost reduction tasks.Perform other duties as may be required.Essential SkillsStrong Microsoft Office computer skills.Experience and knowledge of Procurement processes and SAP.Strong negotiation and analytical skills.Bachelor's degree.5 to 7 years of relevant experience in sourcing parts for aero-derivative or large frame gas turbines.Additional Skills & QualificationsPurchasing experience within Aerospace.Experience related to gas turbines (forging, machining discs, etc.) is strongly preferred.SAP Experience.Travel will be required to visit suppliers.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
