Our client, a leading provider in the food processing industry, is seeking a dedicated Butcher / Meat Processing Technician to join their team. As a Butcher / Meat Processing Technician, you will be an essential part of the meat processing department supporting retail and wholesale operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality standards, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Butcher / Meat Processing Technician

Location: Elmsford, NY

Pay Range: $25

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm
Schedule note: Three shifts are focused on butchering, and the other two shifts are primarily prep work.

What's the Job?

Cutting, trimming, grinding, and preparing meat for retail sale, utilizing skilled knife and saw techniques Receiving, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of meat products Packaging, weighing, and pricing products for sale Creating attractive displays and advising customers on meat cuts and cooking methods Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining strict health and sanitation standards

What's Needed?

Physical strength, endurance, and dexterity to handle demanding tasks Strong knowledge of meat cuts, quality standards, and preparation techniques Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail for accurate weighing, pricing, and food safety compliance Experience working with brisket is a plus
