Job Description • Management and Leading of a group of 8 people, a combination of related consultants and technicians. • Business development responsibilities. As part of this role the employee will be expected to assist in bringing in work. • Profit & Loss responsibilities. • Cross-Sell other NOVA services. • Conduct visual building enclosure system surveys, moisture surveys, pre-design surveys and property condition assessments. • Performance of related forensic evaluations and investigations on building enclosure and roof components suffering performance issues and suspected of failing. • Knowledge of field testing of roofing, waterproofing, window and curtainwall systems and other building components on new construction and existing facilities. Testing is generally in accordance with various ASTM, AAMA, TAS and ANSI standards. • Review of construction documents including architectural drawings, shop drawings, submittals relative to the building enclosure. • Preparation of technical reports documenting investigative results, testing and observations performed. • Willingness to assist with other Branch Operations as needed. • Some occasional in-state and out of state overnight travel. • We anticipate the position being a 20/80 split between office and field time. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years consulting experience in one of the following; Building Enclosure, Structures or Property Condition Assessments. • 2+ years in a Group Management Role, having Profit and Loss experience • Technical knowledge of building construction. • Adept at reading and understanding plans & specifications. • Higher education degree in applicable/related field, preferred. • Team Player • Experience with building enclosure systems such as wall claddings, windows, curtain wall systems, roofs and waterproofing. • Good communication skills. • Good report writing skills.
