Due to exponential growth in the Asia Pacific region we have created a new role for a Business Unit Directors for Pacific to be based in Sydney, supporting growth across the region cluster – Australia & New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of our data centre portfolio in the region, overseeing service operations for multiple sites and accounts across the countries. Driving sales opportunities, achieving financial targets, maximizing asset utilization, maintaining client relationships and ensuring development plans/strategies are aligned with the company's growth strategy for the Asia Pacific region will be his/ her key objectives. **What You'll Do:** • Oversees the day-to-day delivery of the Pacific Business Unit – driving rapid sustainable growth, statutory compliance and governance, the management and development of staff, (operational, sales, contract support and management), the continual development of our customer base and full operational responsibility for the Business Unit. • Formulates business and sales plans in response to anticipated economic, technological and market trends. • Continually focuses on developing the business through building customer relationships and ensuring that resources are prepared to manage this growth. • Identifies tracks and influences key KPI and financial performance metrics to deliver required performance levels. • Leads, monitors and identifies areas for QHSE improvement as a matter of course. • Creates a culture of exceptional quality and innovation and leads by example. • Identifies and acts on safety trends and reports to create interventions to protect the business, our people and drive continuous safety improvement. • Ensures mandatory processes are in place and are compliant. • Builds and develops high-level customer relationships with both existing and potential customers through fully understanding their needs and demands. • Focuses on ensuring excellent service levels are maintained at all times. • Leads tender bid activity including sales and operational resourcing, sign offs, document and commercial reviews and presentation standards. • Ensures all sales pipeline activity is accurate as far as possible for projects and contract opportunities. • Identifies and targets in partnership with BDM community, suitable quality and volume of work to enhance growth and value in the overall company, and in the BU. • Actively seeks opportunities to sell the full range of business services (eg: cross selling). • Ensuring growth strategies in the countries are aligned with overall APAC growth strategy • Responsible for managing and developing direct reports including the creation of training plans, coaching for improvement, addressing performance concerns and succession planning. • Provide input to clients to identify, develop, and release new solution offerings. Understands skills, certifications, tools, and support needed by managed services team to release the offering. **What You'll Need:** • Proven track record within the Data Centre or Facilities Management industry. • Credible management of relevant P&L levels. • Proven experience as leader of large teams, where required experience in multiple countries/regions. • Managerial experience at Country / Account Director or above within technical and or hard services will be beneficial. • Strong commercial acumen and financial skills. • Ability to effectively navigate a matrix organisation. • Excellent motivational and influencing skills. • Applicants must be self-starters, confident and composed. • Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments. • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical delivery for client satisfaction. • Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation. • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective management of people at all levels of the organisation. • Ability to manage conflict and crisis situations effectively. • Organised and detail focused with the ability to multi-task.
