Yes County Albany Street Address Office of Health Information Management (OHIM) Corning Tower, Empire State Plaza City Albany State NY Zip Code 12237 Duties Description This position reports to the DOH Project Manager 4 within the Office of Health Information Management (OHIM). The successful candidate will collaborate within a multifunctional team, supporting a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence requests and assisting departmental program areas in achieving their Information Technology objectives. The team's responsibilities encompass diverse functions such as procurement, architectural oversight and review, cybersecurity guidance, compliance enforcement, AI governance and portfolio governance, serving as a critical interface between program areas and OITS/IT vendors. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:- Researching and documenting the current or as-is state of the business processes or functions- Develop and maintain custom SharePoint sites to keep data current and relevant. This may include components of HTML5 and JavaScripting.- Ability to design and develop in Power Automate and SharePoint Lists to gather data with SharePoint Forms- Advanced working knowledge with Microsoft Excel.- Develop and maintain team documentation and artifacts. - Research and document program areas and existing systems to get a handle on how to best guide their technology needs- Assist with keeping Artificial Intelligence request moving through the governance process- Stay up to date on the latest IT technologies in use within DOH and what is available/approved by OITS.- Participate in the technical evaluation of new technologies.- Analyze potential user impact based upon business process changes and/or design modifications to systems.- Working with a multi-disciplinary team as well as developing and maintaining positive relationships with agency partners, including public and private sector entities.- Provide ongoing support to program areas to ensure DOH can develop and execute the goals, priorities, and strategic plans for DOH business systems.- Completing duties, assignments, and other tasks in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.- Maintaining open communication and information sharing channels, and collaborate as needed- Work with IT partners (OITS/Vendors/DOH-HRI) to represent the agency perspective on business goals.- Participate in or host meetings internally within team, program areas, upper management, and externally with vendors, and OITS.- Understand, identify, and apply project management tools, templates, and techniques. Minimum Qualifications Seven years of business analysis experience including: using business analysis techniques to elicit requirements as the foundation for the solution to the organizations business needs; using business analysis techniques for the purpose of identifying solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the system, business process, or; describing in a comprehensive written document what the system, process, or product service must do in order to satisfy the established business requirement; this includes creating, updating, and maintaining documentation through the system development life cycle; validating requirements throughout the product or system development life cycle (SDLC) including all changes to the processes that would enable an organization to achieve its goals; or verifying requirements throughout the product/SDLC to ensure they perform to the required specifications and are capable of achieving the design capabilities; this includes developing test plans and logical designs, testing the scenarios, reviewing test results, identifying constraints and risks, or communicating with stakeholders.
